Community Information Portfolio
The vestry reviewed the Community Information Portfolio document which will become part of the information on the Diocesan rector search website.  The Rector Search Committee completed the majority of the document.  The vestry needed to complete the compensation portion and approve the entire document.

Motion by Eddie, seconded by Nancy, to approve the Community Information Portfolio as discussed.  Discussion ensued.  Motion approved with one amendment.  Change the “veggie garden food ministry” to its exact title of The Jubilee Ministries Pantry Garden-Connecting Soil to Soul.  Motion approved.

Health Insurance for the Music & Worship Coordinator
With the loss of health insurance through her husband’s job, Kathy Will, Music and Worship Coordinator, becomes eligible for coverage through the Denominational Health Plan as a lay employee working 30 + hours/week.  She can enroll immediately.  Coverage extended to the laity is equal to the coverage provided for clergy.  The minimum is clergy + 1 (one other person).  It is optional for the vestry to offer dental insurance to the laity.  The cost for both health and dental insurance would be a total of $1,433/month for the remainder of 2016.  Rates are likely to change for 2017.

Motion by Eddie, seconded by Chuck, for the vestry to provide health and dental insurance for the Music and Worship Coordinator in accordance with the standards adopted by the Diocesan Council as long as the employee is eligible.  Motion approved.

Old Business
The vestry went into closed session to discuss vestry letters to Bishop Gibbs, Bishop Curry as well as apology letters to the victims of Bry Dennison’s sexual misconduct.

The Lord’s Prayer followed by dismissal at 12:50 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Sue Kelly-Vestry Clerk
