ElectionsThe 149th Annual Meeting was held on a snowy Sunday, January 17, and included several important elections. Clare Andreasson, Eddie Grim, Maria DiStefano-Post, and Marian Vermeulen were elected to fill three year terms on the vestry, while Anne Montgomery was appointed to replace Dixie Stephen for a one-year-term. Elizabeth Blondia, Bob Foote, and Rosemary Hagan were elected as diocesan delegates to the annual convention. Greg Hagan, Bill Pierce, and Mary Pierce are alternates. Barbara Klugh and Kate Wood were elected by acclamation to the 2016 nominating commitee, which is charged with identifying candidates for next year’s elections. Congratulations to the new members of the Grace leadership team.
Bylaw changesChanges to two different bylaws–Bylaws for Grace Episcopal Church and Bylaws for the Grace Episcopal Church Foundation–were also presented. The Grace Church Bylaws were amended to reflect current practices, and all amendments passed. The first three amendments to the Bylaws for the Grace Episcopal Church Foundation passed as follows:
- Amendment I – 96% PASSED
- Amendment II – 95% PASSED
- Amendment III – 95% PASSED
- Amendment IV – 63% FAILED
