Middle School (grades 6-8)
Grace Church’s Middle School group (the “Middlers”) meet every Sunday beginning at 9:45 a.m. downstairs in the youth room. Our rotating teachers, all of whom are certified in Safeguarding God’s Children, begin with conversation and snacks and then transition to a lesson from Lesson Plans That Work. Each lesson is published by the Episcopal Church and follows the Revised Common Lectionary. Lively discussion and activities reflect the curiosity, growing maturity, and deeper understanding of themselves and the Bible that Middle Schoolers are known for.
High School (grades 9-12)
Grace’s High School Youth Group is open to all 9 th – 12 th graders. In class, we explore the intersection of our faith, our culture, and our identities. We learn about and discuss Church history, ritual, and theology, modern day pressures, social and cultural mores, and interfaith topics while helping each other to think about where our own beliefs fit in with both our traditions and the complex world around us. We also do lots of fun activities like participating in service opportunities, playing games, doing art projects, taking field trips, and eventually, preparing for and going on a pilgrimage. Our High School Youth Group strives to be an open and safe place for teens to learn about themselves, support each other, and follow the path of Christian discipleship individually and in community. We meet every Sunday after the 10:00 service from 11:30 – 1p.m.
